CONTENT: important decorations are underway
WARNINGS: more cavities!!!!
[ the whole olivia situation is certainly putting a damper on what should, for most of the team, be a merry time of year... and that is exactly why it is so important to have at least something for the team to enjoy, at least after they can be sure their former ai is no longer negatively affecting the station.
this particular morning presents a sight not often seen on the station: both viveca and degar outside of the north wing, in the sunlight room, standing around a spruce tree with boxes of decorations behind them. ]
Right... I did some research on different types of Christmas trees and ornaments that are traditional to hang on them. I should have a good variety, here.
[ viveca waves at the boxes; and indeed, they're full of all kinds of lights, glass balls, stars, little figures, wooden carvings... you name it, and it's probably there. she isn't one to do things halfway. ]
Now all we need to do is hang them up.

but he's already crouched by some of the boxes, peeking at the available sparkly trinkets, each one with their own little hook or string. ]
Ooh — I like this one.
[ he pulls out a glittering bright star that shimmers in various shades of green, blue, pink, and purple depending on the angle. ]

instead of picking something, though, she waits to see what he thinks should be hung up first; and when he decides on one, she quickly finds one to match it, a similarly multi-hued... tree?
hm. ] I thought this'd go with that one, but isn't it a little... pointless, to put a tree on a tree? [ ugh. maybe she'll dig around for another one. ]

We might need a consultant for this one. Or ... we can just put everything on it. Like, you know, a buffet of decorations.

Date: 2023-03-04 07:57 pm (UTC)[ she shrugs one shoulder, crouching back down to dig around for another suitable decorative bauble. ] Maybe we could try to find things that will remind the team of their homes? I tried to pull decorations from as many worlds as possible. Or maybe pick a colour scheme and stick to it? Or try to make it look as varied as possible?
[ she's fully just talking out loud to herself, which she seems to realise when she looks back at degar and grimaces. ] Maybe you should take the lead on this. You've got more of an eye for this kind of thing than I do.

collecting orbs just doesn't scratch the same itch. ]
I like that. Things that remind the team of their homes is kind of a nice touch. Puts a little warmth into the tree whenever you look at it too, right? Besides ... why stick with a colour scheme when you can have all the colour.
[ please viv why are you trusting him to take the lead on this. he will go ham.
